Privacy Policy
How Aurum handles your data.
This policy explains what data Aurum collects and why. Last updated: October 5, 2026.
1. What we collect
Your email address, display name and avatar; a salted hash of your password (we never store the password itself); your ads, orders, chat and support messages; deposits, withdrawals, transfers and balances, including wallet addresses and transaction IDs; payment account details you save for receiving payments; and technical data such as your IP address, browser and the time of your last visit.
2. How we use it
To run your account and trades, hold and release escrow, process deposits and withdrawals, show your history, answer support requests, send emails you asked for (such as a password reset), prevent fraud and abuse, limit repeated login attempts, and meet legal duties. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
3. What other users see
Other users see your display name and avatar on ads, orders and chats. In an order, the buyer sees the seller’s payment account details (holder name, account number and provider) needed to pay. Your email address and balances are never shown to other users.
4. Cookies and browser storage
We use one cookie to keep you logged in, and a short-lived cookie while you log in with Google. Your browser also stores settings and recent data so pages load faster, such as dark or light mode, recent emails, the last balances shown, and the last time you were active. These are cleared when you log out. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use aggregate website statistics that do not use cookies.
5. Who we share it with
Service providers that help run the site, such as our hosting and database provider, our email provider, and Google when you choose to log in with Google. They may process data only for those services. We may also share data when the law requires it or to protect users from fraud or harm.
6. Where data is processed
Aurum is operated from the United States. Your data may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers run their servers. We protect it as described in this policy wherever it is processed.
7. How long we keep it
As long as your account is open and as long as needed for security, accounting and legal reasons. Records of trades and transactions may be kept after an account is closed.
8. Security
Passwords are stored as salted hashes, connections are encrypted, sessions expire after a period of inactivity, and sensitive actions such as withdrawals ask for your password again. No system is completely safe, so keep your password private and log out on shared devices.
9. Your choices
You can change your name, avatar and password in your account. To see, correct or delete your data, contact support. We may keep some records where the law requires it.
10. Privacy rights in the United States
Depending on where you live in the United States (for example California, Colorado, Virginia and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to know what personal data we hold, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your data for advertising. We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising. To use any of these rights, contact support from the Support button on any page; we may need to confirm it is you, and we may keep records that the law requires us to keep. We will not treat you worse for using these rights.
11. Age
Aurum is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
12. Changes
We may update this policy and will show the date above. If a change is important, we will tell you on the site.
